News Flash

5/12/06    FUN NEWS FLASH!...  Beginning Sunday, May 21st, the increasingly infamous "Fender's Den of Sin" radio show will be broadcast live from Uncle Pleasant's every Sunday between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm.  The "Fender's Den of Sin" show is broadcast live with streaming audio and video courtesy of our good friends at AIIRADIO.NET and will showcase one to three bands, maybe more; these are the independent artists you usually won't hear (for some bizarre reason) on commercial radio - yeah!!!  The show is free to all so come on down and watch and listen to these amazing artists and their craftworks.  No more silence! (except by choice!).  Special place in our hearts for those who work tirelessly to make this world an enjoyable place:  Helen, over in London England at the nerve center of Aiiradio; Jen Strawberry in Bowling Green Kentucky, our sweetheart DJ at Aiiradio; Angela Bailey and Bobby Sargis, our most excellent sound engineers with LP Productions; and of course, our  friend Jim Vize, bassist with The Shinerunners, a.k.a. "Fender" our Aiiradio DJ and Master of Ceremonies who has really made things happen!  Enjoy!!!   -   band inquiries should be directed to fender@aiiradio.net.

12/30/05    So you wanna get played on the radio, eh?  So you think you could go "platinum" in Kesczbakistan, eh?  Well now's your chance.  Check it out, all you songsters, minstrels, poets and jesters, you ranters and ravers and implacable show-offs!  Uncle Pleasant's & Aiiradio DJ, Jim Vize (aka Fender, bass man with Shinerunners), are working hard to arrange for Wednesday night "8 until late" open mic night performances to be broadcast live on Aiiradio.net.  Still haven't gotten the final go-ahead from the station managers though.  With online listenership growing larger than anyone ever anticipated, aiiradio is struggling to keep up with the growth, finding sponsers and adding servers and increasing bandwith.

Now all this may not increase beer sales at Uncle P's, but it sure could increase your itunes or/and website CD sales.  Don't worry, though, Uncle P knows, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, and Uncle P is having this goose for New Year's Day Dinner...wait, is that right?  Well, we will let you know.

12/21/05    Beginning December 21, 2005 Uncle Pleasant's will host "8 until Late" Open Mic Nights every Wednesday, with occasional special guest performances.  Admission is free, and artists will have full use of the stage and professionally engineered sound system.  Thanks to Billy Bartley who will be hosting "8 until Late".  Sign-up and music start at 8:00 pm, and the stage will stay lit 'til Late.

Tempus Fugit's "Live at Uncle Pleasant's" album to be released November 2005

Bio:  A conglomeration of 60's and beyond rock -n- roll Rhythm and Blues best describes this band.  Tempus Fugit's "Live at Uncle Pleasants" was an eclectic, powerful, psychedelic musical moment.  This electrifying concert was captured by Liar Records and now released to the world for everyone to enjoy.

Tempus Fugit appeals to the masses and takes you on a trip through through time.  From Bill Withers, Jethro Tull, and the Dead, Fugit brings it to you live as only they can.

Liar Records - "Hear the truth, that's it!"
